As equipment to ensure the quality of oil in edible oil production, refining equipment is one of the important equipment in oil plant construction. At present, the refined oil equipment sold on the market can be divided into three types: Batch oil refining equipment, semi-continuous oil refining equipment and full-continuous oil refining equipment. The oil refining equipment of these three processes has different degrees of automation and is suitable for edible oil processing plants with different outputs. The following is a brief introduction to intermittent refining equipment.

Intermittent refining equipment refers to the process of oil refining in batches. The production capacity of this equipment is limited, but it has the characteristics of small investment, simple and flexible operation, and low investment cost. It is very suitable for small edible oil processing plants. Although the price is lower than that of semi-continuous refining and fully continuous refining, the refining process is the same. Intermittent refining also includes degumming, deacidification, decolorization, deodorization, dewaxing and other main processes. The refining process is as follows:

1. Degumming: Peanut crude oil is degummed by adding hot water/phosphoric acid in the refining pot to remove phospholipids, proteins and other components in the oil.

2. Deacidification: The degummed oil enters the alkali refining pot to add alkali solution to react, and the free fatty acids in the oil are removed by the principle of acid-base neutralization;

3. Decolorization: The oil is added with an adsorbent in the decolorization pot, generally activated white clay, and the pigment in the oil is adsorbed and removed by the adsorbent to improve the color and transparency of the oil;

4. Deodorization: Under vacuum conditions, direct steam is used to volatilize odorous substances to achieve the purpose of deodorization.

Generally, after crude oil has been refined and impurities removed through these four processes, a finished oil with clear and transparent color, no peculiar smell and high nutritional value can be obtained.
